Life is abundant. At Bentley Urban Farm (BUF) we use reclaimed materials grow fresh, healthy food for our community, and food, shelter and habitats for wildlife. We live by the permaculture principles of Earth Care, People Care and Future Care.

Reconnect with Creativity

We humans are innately creative. At BUF you can engage with art and music no matter how talented (or untalented) you may think you are. From jamming sessions to painting murals, BUF is a place to fulfill your creative urges.

Reconnect with Each Other

In these troubling times it is more important than ever to reconnect with each other. One of the best things about BUF is that everyone is equal and connections and friendships are made between people who would never usual meet elsewhere.

Commensality Kitchen

We started life as an ecologically focused anti-food poverty campaign, using environmentally-friendly growing techniques to help provide fresh, healthy produce to the vulnerable and teach to teach people how to save money by growing their own food. This is still an important part of what we do, but there is also important work to be done around changing society’s relationship to food. Growing, sharing, cooking and eating together creates unity as well as good physical and mental well-being. We believe that we can all work to builder healthier people and communities through the simple act of commensality (bonding through sharing food). The Commensality Kitchen is an area where we regularly cook and eat together in a safe, outdoor environment, why not join us?
